iodized salt could save the world?

Apparently it could help quite a bit. Iodized salt is one the cheapest and easiest solutions to implement for the entire world to help stop goiter and raise IQ. In many countries, iodine deficiency is a major public health problem because of the lack of iodine in the ground, and therefore lack of iodine in vegetables.

So, does "big brother" not want us to smarten up? Seems like it. Best way to keep people working in sweat shops is to dumb them down enough that they can't do anything else.. or not pay them enough to do anything else. That's a whole different rant though.
